Please follow these steps to book a Guided Tour, Workshop, HHP Master Class or EcoScope:

BOOKING PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Are you interested in booking for just yourself or a small group (less than 10).

If YES, GO TO step 5

If NO, GO TO step 2

STEP 2: Are you interested in booking for a large group (10 or more) or an organisation/ institution (such as an architect's practice, University College, society group)?

If YES, GO TO step 3

STEP 3: Contact us, preferably by email at hhp@hockerton.demon.co.uk providing following:

  • Name of organisation/group/business/institution
  • Approximate expected number in your group
  • State whether you wish to have a standard tour, technical tour, workshop or HHP master class (click here to find out which type of tour/event is most appropriate)
  • When you would ideally like to visit us. If you do not have specific dates in mind, please indicate preferred month and days of week.
  • Additional contact details - Telephone and address details
  • Any special requirements

STEP 4: If we can meet your requirements we will send you a provisional offer via email or letter with a proposed date requesting your confirmation with a deposit (see costs below). If we cannot meet your initial requirements, we will contact you to discuss further. Please note we may be able to offer discounts in exceptional cases.

STEP 5: Check available dates for standard tours, technical tours, workshops & HHP master class in EVENT TIMETABLE below. (If you would prefer a 1:1 tour, please go to step 6). Can you make any of those identified? 

If YES, GO TO step 7

If NO, GO TO step 6

STEP 6: You can either re-check website periodically for new dates (we aim to do one standard weekend visit each month) or contact us and suggest an alternative. We will try and be as accommodating as possible. You can also ask to be put on a waiting list to be informed of new dates. Alternatively we may be able to see you on a 1:1 basis (see EcoScope).  Simply contact us by email (hhp@hockerton.demon.co.uk) or telephone (01636 816902) to arrange a mutually convenient time.

STEP 7: If the EVENT TIMETABLE below indicates 'BOOK DIRECT' under comments, you can click on this to book directly with us (as long as you are only booking for 1 or 2 places). Otherwise please contact us, preferably by email at hhp@hockerton.demon.co.uk to check if there are sufficient places remaining. Please state how many places you would like to book and which date.

STEP 8: Send a cheque for the number of visitors you are booking for (see cost table below) made payable to 'HHP Trading Ltd'.  If you are making a booking for an event for a dedicated group we will agree in advance whether payment is required before the date or a deposit. STEP 9: On receipt of cheque, we will confirm via email or post your booking with directions and further practical details for your visit.

STEP 10: Guided Tour - Please be prompt since many people have traveled some distance and may have further commitments that day (as do the guides!)

ADDITIONAL GENERAL NOTES

  • From experience these tours are not generally suitable for children under 12. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.

  • It is highly recommended that you were sensible footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing. If it is likely to rain on the date of the event you may wish to bring  umbrella for the external tour or at least a waterproof coat.

  • Although we permit photographs to be taken around the site, we ask you to respect our privacy by not taking photographs inside our homes.

  • There is limited range of publications available for purchase on the day.

Booking

Your booking will be confirmed once payment has been received. Bookings must be accompanied by a cheque payable to ‘HHP Trading Ltd’. Directions and further practical details will be sent to you with your booking confirmation.

Events may be cancelled by HHP with 5 days notice whereupon guests will receive a full refund or offered an alternative date.

Cancellations

Any booking fee paid will not be refunded unless written confirmation is received at least five working days prior to the event, substitute delegates are welcome.

HHP reserves the right to vary the programme and cancel the event in case of insufficient bookings.
