Since the inception of Hockerton Housing
Project (HHP) the occupants have worked to reduce the use of
fossil fuelled vehicles by its members by restricting each family
to the ownership of one fossil fuelled vehicle, purchasing an
electric car for community use, encouraging car sharing and
promoting use of alternative forms of transport.
Hockerton Housing Project has now established
a programme to develop a Sustainable Resource Centre in order to
promote environmentally friendly housing and social development
through education and example. As a consequence many individuals
and organisations visit HHP to participate in tours, educational
and social events. We would like to encourage more visitors
to reduce their fossil fuel consumption travelling to and from HHP
by considering more sustainable options.
You will find below details on how you can travel to HHP
more sustainably. |
