What is included in a tour or workshop?

RETURN TO VISIT INDEX

Over the last five years we have fine-tuned tours of the project to meet the needs of as many people as possible. To this end we have developed programmes which lasts between 2 and 3 hours; however this can be adapted to meet your particular needs. For instance we have run part of the tour for some groups in a more workshop/ discussive format.

The tours cover low energy/ passive solar house design, renewable energy systems, autonomous water services, sustainable transport, and issues involving living and working together.

Our standard site tour includes; tour of the project site highlighting key elements of landscaping, tour of one of the project members houses, slide presentation  showing history of the development, a small exhibition, and light refreshments. This normally takes approximately three hours (these are not meant to be for building professionals or large groups).

The technical tours are aimed primarily at building professionals and last for over 3.5 hours. The guides are project members with more technical experience of the Project  If you are part of a business/organisation and would like to extend the technical tour for a group of 8-12 to a full half day and include an interactive discussion session you may be more interested in a Technical Consultation
